On the morning of December 17, 2024, Guangzhou Shengmei Hospital, in collaboration with the Xiejiazhuang Village Committee of Taihe Town, successfully hosted the "Guarding Health with Warmth – 2024 Warm Winter Charity Event." Village leaders invited representatives from local neighborhood heads, Party secretaries, five-guarantee households, individuals with disabilities, and families of military martyrs to attend the event.
The event began with splendid dance performances—“Beautiful China” and “Ordinary People”—presented by the Xiejiazhuang village dance team. Their graceful movements and passionate energy enlivened the atmosphere and set the tone for the day.
Next, Deputy Secretary of the Xiejiazhuang Village Party Committee, Mr. Xie Zhiping, delivered a speech. He sincerely thanked Guangzhou Shengmei Hospital for its continuous care and support for the villagers. He emphasized that the hospital not only provides high-quality medical services but also actively initiates public welfare activities. He expressed hopes for broader cooperation in the future to bring more well-being to the community.

Following that, Dr. Wei Changqun, President of Guangzhou Shengmei Hospital, took the stage and delivered a heartfelt speech focusing on three key sentiments: gratitude, appreciation, and being moved. She expressed thanks to the Taihe Town Government and Xiejiazhuang Village Committee for their support, which has enabled Shengmei Hospital to flourish in the area. She also thanked all staff members whose joint efforts led to Shengmei's rapid development into a Tier-2 general hospital within just two years.

At the event, the hospital’s departments of Stomatology, Traditional Chinese Medicine Rehabilitation, Internal Medicine, and Radiology offered free medical service vouchers, allowing attendees to schedule free check-ups in the future.
Over the next two months, Shengmei Hospital will continue hosting health education seminars, covering topics such as cerebrovascular disease, cardiovascular disease, COPD, and diabetes prevention. Specific dates and topics will be announced separately.
Toward the end of the event, Secretary Xie and Shengmei Hospital’s Vice President Dr. Cao Renzong led a medical team into the village to deliver food and supplies to impoverished and disabled households. They also conducted free in-home medical consultations as part of their outreach service.
Looking ahead, Shengmei Hospital aims to establish a long-term and stable support mechanism with the village committee. The hospital will regularly organize medical teams to conduct outreach and free clinics in the village, popularize health knowledge, raise health awareness, and improve disease prevention capabilities among residents. Shengmei will also actively explore more public welfare projects to contribute to rural revitalization and the improvement of people's well-being.
